TV time

In my quest for a FREE Mary Kay car I am having lots of women over for facials these days. Yesterday I told Bella that she had to wait to watch TV until my friends came over. The girls arrived and I introduced them to Bella. She stared at them with her fingers in her mouth so I said,
"Bella say hello to Miss Stacey."
She looked at me with a charming little smile and said,
"Can I watch TV now?"
So she has learned how to communicate, and she has learned how to accept bribes...now I just need to teach her some manners.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

So you know you have a habit that is catching when your almost 3 year old starts mirroring it to you. Well I have to confess to the few of you that don't already know I LOVE Ice Cream. There is most always a carton of Mint Chocolate Chip in the freezer, and after a meal (lunch and/or dinner) I had the habit of taking it out and having a scoop or two, right out of the carton. (Mom you did raise me to know better, but I don't want to do any more dishes, and I was the only one eating..until now). So one day I took out the carton and Bella run up and said, "My turn, my turn. I want some." I tried to give her a bite off my spoon and she refused to take it. She insisted on holding the spoon but still was not satisfied. She was pointing up to the counter saying, "I want up. Up there." Now at that moment I knew what was coming but we wanted to see what she would actually do. So like any parent who is not overly concerned with sugar intake, falling and cracking open heads, or the opinion of all those SAHMs out there I put her on the counter. This is what unfolded. A smile of victory!
Diggin in for a BIG scoop.
Dad spotting it and trying to get in on the action.I can only imagine she is thinking "No Dad, I won't be sharing with you. STOP looking over my shoulder!"

And then contentment. She follows these bites by saying in a very big girl voice, "Mmmm, that is good."

So the carton is empty and I won't be buying more anytime soon. I obviously need to break my habit before I pass it on to the future Ice Cream Addict in the family. Not that there isn't enought Halloween candy to fill in the gaps in the meantime.

more on Halloween, the free car I am so close to winning and Romo life in future blogs. Thanks for your encouragment and response to my commitment to post more often. Just don't expect grammar perfection, I don't have time to blog and edit. I have a test tomorrow. It is time to study.

NABLOPOMO

Well I told my sister I would not take on the cahallenge of blogging every day this month, however, I will make a point to put a few fun things on here at least once a week. I know that a few relatives, like grandma and Aunties read this, but I think our audience ends there. So once a week is our NaBloPoMo goal. Can you handle that? I think I can.
Beside this month has a few other loftier goals, like winning a free Mary Kay car, and becoming a Mary Kay Sales Director. I will take all the encouragment you can give for those goals.
Tomorrow I will try to download some fun halloween pics. Bella was Belle...it was fitting and she was beautiful. I'm not just saying that because I'm her mother, she really was beautiful.
